YW WELLNESS - Fitness Program for LDS Young Women Ages 12 - 18
Beauty in Mind, Body and Heart!
The Young Women's Wellness Program follows a 3-month, weekly class schedule and was designed to benefit all of the young women in the ward, regardless of their age, size or ability.
Purpose and Desired Outcomes:
Provide opportunities for each Young Woman....
- To accept and appreciate her unique body, and to understand her sacred responsibility to care for it.
- To learn how to properly nourish her body following the principles taught in the Word of Wisdom.
- To use Personal Progress goals to understand the connection between body and spirit and to practice being a righteous steward of her body through weekly challenges.
- To be introduced to a variety of exercise disciplines as a fun way to be inspired to stay fit & healthy.
